Exchange information at the Visio level

With Unistep, teamwork goes beyond meetings. Each member can send both the Visio file and the XML animation definitions to colleagues, who can enrich the original diagrams. XML animation files are stored alongside the diagrams as clear text, making them easy to locate, share, and version together.

Use drill-down for functional analysis (navigate functions → sub-functions) and for system architecture (global architecture → component levels). Teams can also exchange finished exports (HTML, videos, images) for comments and preview them locally before publishing enterprise-wide.

Teammembers can analyse each independently a part of a complex process and create the associated Visio diagrams. Using Unistep they can link these diagrams in a global animated process. The linked processes can extend one after another (serial mode - horizontal link) or in drill down mode - a step in a higher level process launches a lower level process.

Work together on animations: share Visio + XML to co-create, then exchange finished exports for feedback and approval.

Exchange information at HTML level

Team members can send each other the folder that contains the animated HTML along with the associated step images and MP4 files.

In a multi-process diagram, each customer can select and animate the individual processes you’ve defined. The exported file includes all processes, and each can be animated independently.

No Visio or web server required — the animated HTML runs in any modern browser.

Support advanced tasks: functional analysis

Teams can use Unistep’s exclusive drill-down to document and deepen functional analysis.

The drill-down feature of Unistep helps understad how functions chain to lower levels.

Support advanced tasks: system architecture

The team members can leverage the exclusive drill-down capability of Unistep to analyze and document system architecture tasks.

The Unistep drill-down feature helps display how an upper level component activates lower level ones. Each level is on a different page in the Visio diagram.

Documentation, presentation to higher level management

Using the animated HTML files, the MP4 movies and the individual images with animated steps team members can document their analyses and produce clear presentations to higher level management.

The demo shows each process individually, in both normal mode and trail mode. Unistep also generates preview files for every exported video.

What teams get with Unistep

  • Animated Visio diagrams as basis for their analysis and all subsequent exports.
  • Animated HTML modules to review together or share internally.
  • Video files per process, plus an automatic video catalog.
  • Step images (PNG/SVG) for wikis, portals, and documentation.

FAQ for teams

Can we review multiple processes on one shared diagram?

Yes. Map several processes to the same base diagram and animate them individually or in sequence to see interactions.

Do each teammate need Unistep to view the results?

No. Animated HTML exports and videos open in any modern browser.

Do each teammate need Unistep to create animated diagrams?

Teammates who create or modify animated Visio diagrams (.vsdx) need Unistep installed as a Visio add-in.

Can we use the outputs in our wiki or portal?

Yes. Publish HTML exports or embed videos; PNG/SVG step images fit perfectly in internal docs.

Are there any limits on the number of Unistep-generated HTML files or movies?

No. You can generate as many files as you need.

Can teammates exchange unfinished animations?

Yes. Share the Visio file and the XML animation definitions created by Unistep. Other team members can build on them, enrich the diagrams, or adjust the animations. Finished exports (HTML/videos/images) can also be exchanged for feedback.
